• It is important to attend real life or online information sessions if you are interested in community-based living.
• At this stage, you are encouraged to attend a community-based neighbourhood program such as “Is Cohousing For You?” (virtual edition).
• Is this way of living going to work for me/us?   Our TMV Associate Member Prerequisite Programs and “Is Cohousing For You?” will help you to answer this question.

$125 per household/3 months
(non-refundable fee to contribute to operational costs)

• You are now eligible (encouraged) to participate in meetings, events and circles/task groups with equity members.
• You are considering living in The Mountain Village community and want to learn more about the group.  At this stage, there is no commitment on either side.
• You will come to know the members, gain understanding of decisions/policies that have already been made and participate in Sociocracy collaborative decision-making processes.
• You will be better able to gauge your suitability for community-based living.
• At this stage, you have attended/are registered for one of our TMV Associate Member Prerequisite Programs or a program such as “Is Cohousing For You?” (virtual edition).

(This level of membership is generally limited to three months, but is renewable in the early stages of our project.)

$500 per household/3 months
(non-refundable fee to contribute to operational costs)

• You have made the commitment to become a member of The Mountain Village.
• You are now actively participating in meetings, events, committees and circle/task groups with equity members. 
• You become involved in the creation and design of The Mountain Village.
• You feel comfortable with the other members, are knowledgeable about your responsibilities and obligations.
• You have confirmed your ability to purchase, rent-to-own or rent a home in our community.
• You have met with our Project Management Consultant to review and clarify all legal documents.  We encourage you to seek independent professional advice.
• At this stage, you have completed one of our TMV Associate Member Prerequisite Programs or a program such as “Is Cohousing For You?” (virtual edition).

• You are committing both your time and finances in order to create The Mountain Village.
• You sign required legal documents and transfer funds to become a home owner or rent-to-owner.  You are now a voting member.
• You have agreed with all prior decisions/policies made by the community and fully understand all legal and financial documents.
• You are actively influencing the design of the homes, Common House spaces and site.
